Visiting a cannabis dispensary for the time can feel unfamiliar. Especially when you see many different products like flowers, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes and concentrates. It is natural to feel unsure. The good news is that you do not have to know everything before entering. A professional dispensary environment is made to support adult consumers. It helps people learn about the products and make choices that’re right for them. Smokey Paradise welcomes adults 21 and older at its location in East Greenbush.
Before you start shopping take a moment to learn about the product types. Cannabis flower is one of the common forms. It is. Dried and people use it by smoking or vaporizing. Pre-rolls are a to-use version of flower. They come wrapped in paper. Are often convenient for on-the-go use. Vapes are another way to consume cannabis. They use a device to heat a cartridge or oil producing vapor. Edibles are foods or drinks infused with cannabis. They are. Take longer to take effect. Concentrates, tinctures and topicals are options. These may be available depending on the dispensarys inventory.
One of the habits for any cannabis consumer is reading the product label. Look for the THC level and CBD level. These numbers tell you how strong the product is. Check the serving size if the product is edible. You should also read the list of ingredients. This helps you know what you are putting into your body. Look for package details like the date batch number and the name of the producer or retailer. If you see a product you don’t understand don’t hesitate to ask. Staff members are trained to explain the differences and help you make a decision.
Responsible shopping means knowing the laws in New York. Only adults who are 21 and older can legally buy cannabis. You must keep cannabis products out of reach of children and pets. Never. Use machinery after consuming cannabis. This is both a legal and a safety rule. Always follow the instructions on the product label. Use your judgment too. Think about how you feel after using cannabis. Be mindful and safe.
